Pitch Count

In any Little League Baseball game, the eligibility of a player to pitch is determined by a tiered pitch count which is directly related to the number of pitches thrown in a game. This pitch count also determines the number of days a player needs to rest before he or she can pitch again in a Little League game.

Little League Baseball, Inc., has always imposed limits on how much a pitcher may pitch. The limits were originally designed to encourage teams to develop additional pitchers, but since 2007, the baseball pitching limits have been made more stringent in an effort to protect hurlers’ arms. As a result, the pitching regulations for baseball and softball differ significantly. Little League Baseball provides valuable information as it pertains to Pitching Rules and Guidelines.

Below is a summary of the current pitch count rules, as they apply to players in CCLL.

AGE DAILY MAX (PITCHES) REQUIRED REST (PITCHES)
  0 Days 1 Day 2 Days 3 Days 4 Days
7-8 50 1-20 21-35 36-50 N/A N/A
9-10 75 1-20 21-35 36-50 51-65 66+
11-12 85 1-20 21-35 36-50 51-65 66+
13-14 95 1-20 21-35 36-50 51-65 66+
15-16 95 1-30 31-45 46-60 61-75 76+

Spring 2020 Information

Spring Baseball Update

Welcome to the Spring 2020 baseball season.  We are looking forward to some great baseball this season!

Managers have been notified if they have been assigned a team.  If you were not selected as a manager, we thank you for volunteering and hope you will assist on your child's team as an assistant or team parent.

Evaluations for Majors will be 1/25 from 10-1 and MP and Minors will be 1/26 1-4.  Be on the look out next week for a reminder email with more information.

Tee-ball teams will be entered into the system over the next few days along with associated schedules. There still may be some folks that get added to those teams after the MP draft is complete.

The Machine Pitch, Minors and Majors draft will be held on January 29th at 6 pm.  Team rosters will be entered into the Sports Signup Play System that night or the next day. You will be notified through the SPORTS SIGNUP PLAY app.  If you haven't downloaded the app please do so.  Communication from the league and your coaches will be sent through the app.  Please be sure and allow text messages if that is your primary mode of communication.

Managers will contact their team regarding pant, sock, and belt colors needed. Keep an eye out for the Dick's Sporting Goods Discount Day.

Practices will begin the week of Feb 3rd.  There will be two practices a week for MP, Minors, and Majors until the season starts on March 2nd when you will practice one day a week, typically on the weekend.  We will begin work on schedule immediately after teams have been selected.  This can be a very challenging process so be patient with us.  We do our best to be fair on days of the week, fields, etc.  We don't know for sure yet, but expect to have to travel once to an opposing league's park and possibly to play a game or two at Miccosukee field.

There are eight seniors signed up so far.  We hope to add a few more players so we can field a team this season.  We will know more over the next couple of weeks.

If you would like to sponsor a team we are still looking for a few sponsor names to go on jerseys.  You can pay directly online or bring a check to evaluations.
